If you add the note “ho ho ho hat” or “ho ho ho beard” (without quotes) to a picture in your (or a friend’s) photostream, it’ll add a Santa hat or beard to your picture. Check out this picture for evidence.
As I was cleaning out the garage last weekend ( a chore and a half…) I ran across the above picture of me and Eeyore at Grad Nite in Disneyland my Senior year of High School back in 1991.
Wow, look at the hair I had. Long, flowing hair. Thick locks of hair.
Anyways, I have some memories of the night, key among them was falling in love with one of the singers of En Vogue (I can’t remember which on anymore honestly) and having to watch C&C Music Factory standing on a chair and having a security guard ask me to stop standing on the chair…
I’ve not read it, but I know a few people who should!
On Saturday, the 26th of August, 2006, in the shadow of Mt. Shasta, my cousin Erin married her best friend and soulmate Adam in a beautiful open-air ceremony.
I’ll be blogging more about the wedding when I have a more stable internet connection, but wanted to share this image in the meantime.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, sorry. We’ve been running around like crazy the last few weeks and I haven’t had a chance to update the blog as much as I’d like.
My folks were in town a few weeks ago for a long weekend and we took Claire to the SF Zoo to check everything out as well as the Wente Vineyards for brunch and a quick tour of the winery. I haven’t even had a chance to put the pictures I took up on Flickr yet, but they’re coming soon. We had a great time with them and can’t wait to see them in a few weeks for my cousin Erin’s wedding up in Shasta.
Last week we flew down to San Diego for a four-day weekend and hit up some of the tourist attractions: Sea World, some of the museums in Balboa Park, the Wild Animal Park, and the USS Midway. Here’s a link to some of the pics I took while we were there. Jen’s parents drove down and we flew with Jen’s sister Susan and her husband Greg. Claire really liked seeing all the fish at Sea World and loved the meerkats at the Wild Animal Park. Mostly though, she enjoyed the koi in the hotel lobby. Hours of sheer joy watching them swim by was had by my little princess!
One year ago today CJ was still such a tiny little thing. You can see her personality starting to show in this picture. Very curious and that cute little evil smile.
Again, I can’t believe how much she’s grown over the last year. Man, time sure files!
Jen and I were able to get last-minute tickets to see Chris Isaak in concert last night at Wente Winery in Livermore. Tickets were really expensive, but we were able to get them for MUCH cheaper due to the fact that the people who were supposed to have them cancelled last minute.
We showed up around 7:00 for dinner, the food was very good (and for the ticket price, it better be!) and we enjoyed some roast beef and chicken. Chris got on stage at the scheduled time (8:15) and rocked the house until 10:00. He played all the hits, including my favorite Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing as well as a great cover of Roy Orbison’s Only the Lonely as well as Wicked Games of course.
This was totally last minute and Jen was able to get her folks to come over to babysit CJ and give us the opportunity to catch the show.
Me, I’m not a huge fan of Chris Isaak, but Jen ADORES him and would probably leave me for him without even saying good-bye on her way out the door! 😉 She had a great time and I’m glad we were able to make this happen for her. She wanted to get tickets when we first found out he was performing, but the show sold out within minutes of going on sale.
Well, actually tomorrow, but you get the idea. This picture was taken at Jen’s parents’ house while we celebrated the 4th of July. Note the skinny arms, she’s gotten so BIG in the last year. She’s such a good girl, I can’t imagine life without my little Princess Pudding Pop!
